Question Performance upgrades VS. waranty

I was looking at performance upgrades for the the Type-S's and I was wondering if any of you knew what Acura does if you take your car in for waranty work and you have headers and exhaust. Would these upgrades void the waranty? If I had the dealer install them would they be more linent.

The optional cappuccino machine/night sundial/bobbing head German shepherd dog on rear-shelf/burbling water fountain voids not only the factory warrantee, but all sense of good taste!

Other modifications may not be as harsh!!!

Comptech offers a two-year warranty on their performance parts. If a performance part is the root cause of a warranty claim, you pay for it. There is a great deal of faith involved in the selection and installation of performance parts, although Comptech headers and exhaust should not be a big deal (in my uneducated opinion).

Since the TL-S is new, this may not be the best forum for finding out whether or not people have been screwed on their warranties. You might want to ask the same question on the regular TL forum, or perform a search there.

Let's do a dialectic - has anyone had a warranty claim DENIED because of a Comptech or similarly well engineered part?
