I've seen a few on ebay and other places on the internet but the gains they talk about have to be absolutely bogus. Has anyone ever used one on the TL? I had a performance computer chip in an old trans am I had years ago and it actually works pretty good. I have no intention of putting a $10 "performance module" that advertises +50hp and 100mph into my car. Im thinking at best it does nothing, at worst it fries your computer.

 

There are none for our cars. The crap you see on ebay is just gimmicks that will probably cause more harm than good.

 

you should get the turbonator

 

if the TL were 30 year old technology you would be right on performance chips- buts its not- its a modern car with coil on plug sparking, FI system thats very picky-
best thing you can do for it is to clean the intake and injectors with a seafoam treatment or two
That removes gunk and restores like new power to the TL
repeat yearly
