PCV valve location
on the duct that leads from the air box to the throttle body, at the back of it there is a tube that leads to the rear valve cover. follow the tube and it'll connect to the pcv. youll probably have take off the engine covers
you can test your old one by pinching the tube it connects to(carefully). if the valve clicks, its good

positive crankcase ventilation valve; it release pressure and from the crank area and also removes unburnt fuel vapors that could explode.
It's nothing more than a steel can with with a spring and a metal ball. They get gummed up after a while and could get "stuck" in a position. You usually don't need to replace them; you could just saturate it with gumout or some other cleaner. When it's free'd up, shaking it should sound like shaking a spraypaint can (or you could just look inside it and see it's free).
