I recently installed a pair of PBR Metal Master pads on my car, along with a pair of Brembo rotors. This setup works very well, no vibrations and very little brake dust. However, after about 2-3 days of driving I am now beginning to hear a squeal coming from one (or both) of the pads only when doing light braking (if I brake harder the squeal goes away). What could be the cause of this, and what can I do to correct it? I hope it is not a characteristic of the pads, the OEM pads did no squealing at all.

P.S. The squeal happens only after the pads/rotors heat up.

 

Wear it down alittle bit more. I have PBR metal masters also. I think beginning its alittle rough. I think its time to replace them cause squealling came back.

 

when installed did you use anti squeal?

 

i actually just installed an anti-squeal this evening and drove it around. so far so good. next time i will remember to do this upfront.

 

also remember, if you install new brake pads the have a tendancy to "glaze" over... but nothing to be alarmed about
