My friend and I are meeting on Monday at 2pm at the Sunoco on Kennedy south of the 401.
Then we'll be heading towards Shannonville Motorsports Park. If you are coming and want to go together then just show up.

dammit! would love to go but ...
maxrpm,
Thanks for the invite but I can't go... workin' Sat & Sun (to cover all those people who will be on vacation for the long w/e...). I can't really justify me going up for a day (and having to drive all the way back home to Windsor).
Sounds REALLY COOL to take the car out and see how fast I can go (without having to worry about traffic, etc) Any mods on your car? I wanna see what headers, intake, exhaust, etc can improve track times...

I agree with you, comming from Windsor would not be worth the 6-7 hour drive. By the way Shannonville is a roadcourse not a 1/4mile.
Next time a bunch of us go to St Thomas you should go, it's half way between Toronto and Windsor.

Been there... it was fun...
you can actually find a group of people to rent the track...
so each pays like 50 or something like that... you get the track for 3.5 hours... you can run as many laps as you wish or you/the car is capable of...
I guess I will post our next lapping day on this board then...
I dont' know how many cars are gonna be there for the pay per lap, but you might meet some crazy drivers, I don' t know... I would rather share the track with some people that I know or at least more or the less more familir, or those who knows what they are doing...
cuz I don't :p

The PPLs are not a free for all, they space you out far enough to avoid idiots who think they are F1 drivers.
How ever I still prefer the "Lapping Days" but my stock brakes won't handle continous laps.
I am hoping to get some aftermarket brakes in the next few weeks.

FYI, we are meeting at the AMC at Kennedy Commons (401&Kennedy RD) at 2pm sharp and then we will be heading out to Shannonville.
Some of the Acura-CL guys are comming too, would be nice to see some TLs.

St Thomas track...
Hey,
I had no idea there was a decent track out in St Thomas -- going up to London in the near future (my bro is picking up his C32 AMG)... perhaps I can see how fast he can *DUST* my Type-S. (He won't open up the car until he completes the 800 km break-in period, as the manual suggests (I did the research for him on the C32)
But later this summer, maybe? It would be cool to see what the other Type-S drivers have on their cars. Have a great long weekend, everyone.

Are you talking about a road course or drag strip. There are a few strips around here... but I have yet to hear anything about a road course...

It was grat fun and a good turnout, although no one from the boards came. Wimps ;-)
I went with my friends with a Sentra and a Camaro and his friend came with an NSX and brought his friend that had a Supra and another with an Integra.
I need brakes bad!, didn't warp the rotors (which was a surprise) but major brake fade, the pads couldn't handle the heat of one lap, I had to pull over and let them cool off. I have blue tinted rotors now! :-)

maxrpm ,
I couldn't agree with you any more! I did a BMW comparison drive last summer (they had 330i, 330ix, Volvo S60, Audi A4, C320 sport, TL (not Type-S) and Lexus IS300) -- the brakes on our TL was gawd-awful!
There were people trashing those cars around -- the brakes were as soft as anything! I knew for a fact that our cars do *not* respond that badly on a track but when you do that all day -- what would you expect from the heaviest car in that line-up with the smallest brakes?! Bottomline: our brakes stink! Maybe it's time to upgrade to cross-drilled or something...
