Pause from Park to D5?!!

Does anyone notice a 1 or 2 second delay when shifting from park to D5? There is no delay from park to reverse. WTF?!!

that sounds about right. When I shift to D5 from P, the lights match up and then it takes a second for the tranny to "kick" in. Every car I know is pretty much like this because the computer is engaging the tranny. I wouldn't sweat it. 3 seconds or longer delay would seem like an issue, but not 1 or 2 IMO

this is normal i think because...I had it when I got the same late reaction in the 1988 accord and also my 2002 TL. I think it adjusts a little slowly. First I thought, it is signs of the transmissions problems plaguing recent honda and acura models. But I talked to some guys at a local auto shop...and they said there should be a SLIGHT delay.
