Shoot...all these people hearing rattle in their cars. I don't think I've stopped listening to music long enough to hear any kind of rattle in my TL. I guess I need some quiet time with my car.

Yeah, and I have taken it to the shop twice, with no relief!! I think my body kit might be loose or the wood grain I added may be rubbing against wood door inlay. If you find a fix please share.

I have the rattling in my passenger door. I lubed up the rubber molding really good with armorall (or equivalent) and it went away for awhile and came back. I just have gotten used to it by now. My sunroof visor also rattles when opened.
A word of warning; if you try to have the dealer fix something be prepared for it to be worse after they get their hands on it. Also, be prepared to get firm with them, because they are real good at playing stupid. Somehow they become more accommodating when you throw around the owner's name. But the bottom line is they need to do the job right, no ifs ands or buts (or sometimes butts). When they fixed my seat track I had to bring it back four times. The first time they told me the bolts were not loose where it attaches to the floor...no duh, that isn't the seat track. Brought it back again, and they f'd up the seat motor. The next time claimed it was fixed, and the harness was not secured back onto the mounting bracket, and the motor was still broken. Fourth time they fixed it with (they claimed) a new seat module, and replaced the B-pillar molding that they gauged when removing the seat. They also replaced the seat belt buckle set. When I drove the car there was a new noise from the seat whenever I moved or hit a bump it clicked. I managed to fix that myself.

My driver side rear door was loose. It was sticking out ever so slightly and was not closing really shut. When driving within the old parts of the city where the roads are so-so, you can hear the squeakes and rattles but the driver seat squeak and the door rattle was very evident.
Dealer fixed both no problem. Now I think there's squeaking coming from the seatbelt latch, but I'll save that for the next visit.
Despite how I find so much things wrong with the car, everybody else seems to give me accolades of of nice the car is, etc...
Come to think of it, this is much better than driving an Alero.......

the passenger door. This happens intermittenly and had it to the dealer
once. But as these things go , the sound was not there when the
mechanic and I took it out for a test drive and said there was nothing he could do unless he hears something. I suspect the sound my be coming
from the mirror . Since the mirror tilts down when in reverse , problem my
be coming from that.

It was my driver's seat that had a clicking noise coming from the lower left near the seat back. I moved the seat all the way forward, and reclined the seat all the way back a couple of times, and applied a little resistance to it as I returned it up. I am not sure what was wrong, but the problem was gone after that.

I had rattles in my driver's side door and decided to fix it myself. After taking it apart at least 8-10 times, I think they're all fixed! Problems ranged from the lock shaft, to a loose connector, to a loose liner, to the entire interior door panel having a gap near the front, etc. Alot of it was fixed by electrical tape and foam/felt pads to either secure or tighten things up. Hope this helps...
