Question parking brake adjustment

My parking brake doesn't work as well as it used to. The cables must have stretched a bit over the years. Anyone know how to adjust the parking brakes? Graphical instructions would be greatly appreciated.

There are two types of adjustment. If its minor just look up by the e brake pedal. You will see a nut on a threaded rod tighten it a little but not much or the brakes will drag. If it needs more adjustment than that can give you you will need to pull the rear wheels off. You will see and acces plug on the rotor. Pop out the rubber and turn the rotor around tll the access hole is on the bottom. Reach in there with a flat blade screwdriver and crank in the adjustment gear untill there is there is just a little drag. Then go back up to the front and back off that adjustment just a hair but make sure you adj BOTH rears first. Hope it helps!

What's the trick to adjusting that gear? The spring runs right across it and I had a hell of a time getting it to turn.

Gotta work around it. Its kinda a pain in the azz. It really needs that much adjustment? I usually get them adjusted enuff right at the pedal.
