Hi, guys yesterday my parking light lit up even though my parking brake is not engaged. Also now when I press the brake pedal I hear a clicking sound coming from the gear shifter, I'm not positive if it's coming from the gear shifter itself making that sound. I'm not sure what caused the park light to lit up and this clicking noise. The car is a 2002 Acura TL. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 

Hey, guys it seems like there is no pressure so now it doesn't it even brake. Going to take it to the shop tomorrow.

 

Sounds like brake fluid loss to me, may have a busted brake hose or caliper.
Hopefully its not one of the hard lines.

 

Parking brake light is on because of low brake fluid. Brakes won't work without brake fluid.

The gear shift click is normal. It's just the interlock switch in the shifter.

 

Well both of the brake lines are rusted and are leaking. The total job is going to cost $540. The price sounds about right to me. Any opinions?

 

the rubber lines to the caliper are done for? - and the metal ones
where? the main ones to the master cylinder?

use of `SS` lines for about $100 is a great upgrade= they stop flex under pressure/loss of braking pressure to caliper,,on the lines that go to the caliper
