Painting a Spoiler? Dallas
Hey guys-
I'm about to buy a spoiler for my car but it does not come in the Anthracite color (ONly black, silver, and some color called heather mist). I went to the Acura dealership here in town (David McDavid) and they refuse to paint any non-acura part. What should I do? Would I need to have them strip the paint off the spoiler and then paint it or what? How much do you guys think this might cost? Will they be able to match my paint if it's not the dealership? Thanks for all of your help!

Just order the primed spoiler and take it to any body shop...
Why would you think that only ACURA can match the color?????
Matching the color is depends on the painter...Does not matter if you take it to the dealership or not.....
You could get un-matched color spoiler from the dealership, too....
However, OEM spoiler is different story, though....because it comes painted....

ACURA doesn't paint the parts per say, It's the local Body Shop that they use or that they have onsite that matches the paint...so if you find a reputable shop, they should be able to match the paint well, btw which spoiler did you get???

Every state has a reputible body shop. I just ordered a spoiler and on my lunch break stopped by the dealer and they said the samw bullsh_t. They would not touch it unless its from them. In a way I was glad because I started calling many rim shops and these places...well most have a body shop guy or shop. They reffered me to this place and installed it for 35 beans plus the guy showed me how to do it...walked away learning not a bad deal. My advice get reffered to a body shop and take it there
