Painting Rims black

I was just wondering if anyone here has every painted the stock rims black. Just a thought as I have a NHB and would love the look of black rims on it.

Also to add I want to paint the stock rims because I love the quality of the OEM rims. I live in NYC and dont wont to worry about bends and flats if I hit any craters

uh...personally, NO, but its up to you, I would've saved some money and just buy nice wheels for show. Stockies should just be left as is and used as spare wheels.

IMHO i think our rims are too small to be black. i think theres 2 people on this site that painted their rims, one had a tlp and the other was a tls. try searching maybe youll find it.

If you want black rims, By some BLACK RIMS that come like that already. They'll have a better style then the stock rims unless your really that into the stock rims which i REALLY AM NOT A FAN of, but hey "whatever blows your hair back" . I personally would not spend money to get your stock wheels painted black. I think it looks cheap or would look cheap ya know. Go get some nice aftermarket rims if you want straight up BLACK.

Its all good, I've gotten some mixed reactions, but I'm satisfied. I had two rims that had wicked bad curb rash when I bought it and it was drivin me crazy; new rims were out of the question because I'm trying to save up a couple grand for a summer long trip in Europe, so I thought I'd get a little adventurous. The only thing that doesn't go well in my opinion is the 99-01 tails (I think red and clear would look a lot better), but I have gold emblems to kinda off set it. Hopefully after this summer though I wanna try and get my hands on some TL-s rims, 02/03 tails and either chrome or black emblems. These 16s are way too small.

Anyway, sorry for the hijack....but yeah, if you have plans for new rims in the near future, why not try and paint your rims....see how how they come out, if you don't like em, thats your excuse for new ones...
