Painting my Intake Manifold Cover

Does anyone have experience with painting there Intake manifold cover ? I did see on here a while ago some that painted their cover and it looked great.

My question is this, I am currently using a clear coat over the paint and it say's " do not apply to a surface that will get 200 degrees "

Is it possible for this plastic intake cover to reach 200 degrees ?

Any help would be appreciated !

no it won't.

its safe.

if the plastic got to 200 degrees, i'm sure that the cover would've melted by now

The ones that look best are the ones cleared. The cover doesnt get that hot. You will be fine.
