Painting calipers w/ G2 paint soon...

Problem is, I only have 1 pair of jackstands. I'm thinking about painting the calipers 2 wheels at a time...So long as I don't touch the calipers, it should be safe to put the wheels back on right after I paint right?

Nice.. how long did it take you total? Any tips for doing this or stuff I should watch out for that will save me a lot of trouble? I've actually never used jackstands before...

I also used G2 to paint my calipers. Here is a hint:

- try to get 2 jackstands
- jack the same side up for the front and rear
- remove wheels
- brush the paint on the front caliper
- let the front dry and paint the rear caliper
- by the time you are done with the rear caliper, the front should be dry
- then go back and re-paint the front again
- and repeat 3x and do the same for the other side.

BTW, when you mix the paint, I think you only have 6 hours to finish everything before it is no longer good to use. So time everything out accordingly. I got mine done in ~4 hours with 3 layers of paint. The finish product:

Front:

Rear:

I basically did the same steps as blackshadow but I jacked front set then rear set.

i alternated coats, front left, front right, front left front right... etc... for 3 coats then i went onto the rears.

Thanks for all the advice guys.. really helpful. BlackShadow, after you were done painting(4 hrs later), did the paint show any signs of setting? How much paint did you have left over?

I used a small can from Duplicolor, $20 from the autostore and it did 8 calipers (2 cars) and there is still some left... 3 coats each caliper. A couple of people told me to drive it a little to heat it up so it will cure faster.
