Paintball marks on the TL

Well today, my friends came over and decided to shoot bb guns at my backyard because my backyard is so big and they wanted to practice on aiming. Both of them did a stupid move which was to shoot my car instead of shooting the bird. They chipped my paint like a dime size and i got pretty mad which was the end of the game. I have about 3 of them and i cant seem to be getting them off. They were messed up for that one. Has anyone ever got their car shot with a paintball? If so, how much did it cost to get it back to the normal look?

Did you say the paint chipped? As in chipped off? If it is, then it's time to repaint. Depending on where the damages are done, it could cost as little as 250 or so dollars (if all one on panel, meaning they don't have to paint like 3 different panels), or if it's worst case scenario and got on 3 different panels, probably like 500-700.

Get an estimate or two, then decide whether you want to claim it on insurance or not.

black marks...

you mean it chipped the paint and its down the primer? in that case, maybe touch-up paint.

if it's black marks on the paint itself, clay bar the marks off. then zaino zaino zaino!

the black marks are probably paint "scuff" marks on the clear coat of your car. I recently worked on a Range Rover with similar problems. The driver had hit someone and scuffed paint onto the clearcoat of the Range Rover. It looked really bad, almost to the metal, as you can see the the following pics. However the paint was only on top of the clear coat, probably very similar to what has happened to yours. If there is a dent you might not get it entirely out like the last pic below, you can see a dent still, but all the paint can be fixed if it is only on the surface, and most likely it is.

Unless you're extreamly picky, don't worry about a new door or paint, it is causing you more worries than needed. It is a realitevly easy fix with the right stuff.

Hope that helped.

By the way the paint marks were black to the naked eye, the flash made them appear white...

Good work on the RR. I can still see a slight dent, but the paint looks flawless!
