paint opinion for shift gate

mine is all scraped up from previous owner and when i removed my radio. i really want to paint it but not really sure what color. is there like a chrome paint or shiny aluminum color i could use?

stay away from Chrome in a can. Do body color, or anthracite

white? u think white would look good. i thought about it but the whole interior dash is black so itd look weird

I sprayed primer on mine, then put a layer of clear coat with metallic sparkles so when the sun hits it it shines with metallic looking flakes.

Soak the shift plate in paint remover and remove the top layer of paint. It's chrome underneath.

how long should i soak it for . if i leave it too long will chrome get peeled off too?

It wont work on yours. Only the 99. Dont soak it in paint remover
