Paint Fade

I have a Black 99TL and I'm going to have to paint my rear bumper because the paint has faded so bad that it looks like **** compared to the rest of the car. My buddies Black CL has done the same thing only its happened to his front fender as well. Has anyone else had this problem ? I also have to paint the trim between the doors because the paint has Flaked off. I know this part would have been covered under the original warranty but my factory warranty has expired.

I'm thinking about having the entire car painted and having a minor purple flip flop added. My friend had this done to his black corvette and it looks tight. Its hard to see the paint work and you only see the purple when the sun hits it on a certain angle.

Any thoughts ?

I have a '99 TL with 35,000. Like yours, the black paint is just starting to flake off on the trim between the doors. Thinking about having it repainted.

Exclamation paint bulletin on 99 tl's! tsb# 99-033 aug 99

my taffeta white 99 's rear bumper is turning/fading yellow, so are the mirrors! WDP also does this! acura is very well aware of the paint fading problem! there is, and has been a bulletin on it! my dealer is paying to have my bumper repainted, warranty. "pdi", paint damage due to environmental b.s.! their paint sucks, honda / acura always have had paint problems mainly fading and of course those unexplainable dimple- bubbles that seem to explode from underneath? most of the fading seems to occur on parts that are not pure metal, like the polyurethane bumpers, mirrors, etc... kman p.s i would love to repaint my car too but it would cost $5000-$6000 for that!

Kamn, What do you mean by "pdi" ? how can I approach my dealer about painting my bumper since I'm out of the original warranty, I do have an aftermarket warranty but that does cover cosmetic things.
