ok under the hook once the car starts and after about 15 seconds a relay on the drivers side that rite up underneath the hood edging, starts clicking constantly non stop, really fast any one know what taht relay is for ,, the dealer said he doesnt know and dont have the time to look it up, how nice isnt it any one else have that relay doing htat???

 

mine does that. I started noticing it after i put my CAI in. Did you replace any of the stock hoses?

 

put in a short ram intake but only up to the exhaust hoses, left all that factory, pretty much got an elbo and a filter, kinda riged intake but does the job well, u think it might do that cause of that?

 

Im glad that im not the only one experiencing this. I wasn't aware (or it never occured to me to listen) before I put my CAI so I never noticed the clicks. My guess is that perhaps it was the aftermarket hoses that I put in and that it may be "chocking" the lines. If all you did were put in the elbow and filter, then we should be ok.

P.S. I've been running with my CAI for maybe a year now.

I noticed 2 days ago that mine did this too... but it has nothing to do with intakes.. cause I don't have one..

Anyone else notice this...

I'm going to keep this on check and probably mention it to the dealer soon.

 

WTF?

Does it continue as you drive the car? Does it go on forever? Obviously something doesn't sound happy... A relay can't take that kind of abuse forever... Plus what does the relay connect to that's going berserk all the while? I'd try to find out what that particular relay controls and find out if it's something serious or just a nuiscance?

Keep us informed, so that if it happens to anymore of us, we'll know what to do...

dont know if it continues once u drive cause u can only hear it cliking when u have the hood open, it sarts to click about a min after the car is started, and the dealer didnt even know what it controls and was to lazy to find out, i hate dealers, but i will keep a tab on it, cause if it controls something major, ill be upset....
