paint chips

Hey guys, i'm a new member on the forum , well, i've been lurking for a few months.
My 2001 tl-p has started to have some really tiny paint chips, maybe a cm across, but a bunch of them maybe 5 or 6 around the hood of the car. I was going to get some touch up paint for it, but i was curious if i needed to put something underneath it, like some sort of primer?
It seems to already have rusted, and its really starting to drive me crazy.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Just use the factory touch-up over the spots; as long as the spot doesn't stay wet it will not continue to rust.
I have millions of stone fleck in the paint now; so much that I don't bother except for the big ones; new england winters suck because of all the sand they dump...

paint is an ongoing issue here...especially stone chips...tl ' s seem to have weak/thin paint...take a closer look to see if you can see dust "lumps" in your paint job...they're like pin prick size lumps in your paint...
