if the area is small then you have good chance of recovering

1) put your car under the sun for a while under the metal heats up (to help soften the touch up paint)
2) put the paint under the sun for a while as well to heat it up
3) when both are heated up, you will notice that the touch up paint are "more" liquidfied, that's for better result.
4) dont' use the included brush, that thing is ridiculous. use the finest brush or toothpick you could fine
5) get a drop of paint, but it on the chip area and let it spread. it should do that coz' everything is heated up. let it dry (no need to fill out the area yet, do it one layer by one layer
6) when it's dried, put another drop, etc.... under the whole area is filled up and at the same level as the real paint.
7) put on a clear cost on top

Go to an art store and buy a detail brush. It is a very very small brush with about 25 bristles on the end.....Use your palm as the support for holding the brush. I have the Acura touch up paint and it seems very thin to me. I had to put 4 coats on one spot just get it even. I have tried a match stick, a toothpick, etc and the detail brush works the best..
