oversized oil filter question

oversized oil filter question

i'm planning to use the mobil one M1-105 for my next oil change. do i need to put more oil. if so, how much? thanks.

I doubt if it would be more than a few ounces.

I used to do this all the time on my Talon. The only teo things that mattered was if the o-ring on the filter still came in contact with the flat area on the engine and if the threads were the same.

Question why

why would you use a 105 when 104 is what's in the books?

Thanks, I`ve been using the 104 with redline 5w-20, next time I order I`ll switch over to the 105. That`s one of the reasons I like this forum. To stay a head!

I see, I see... Well, I'm switching over to Amsoil 0W-30 soon like today or tomorrow...

I just bought 2 m104's ...

What is the bypass filter for on the 105? Why did they not put it on the 104?

If the 105 fits i'll just exchange my 104's...
