Exclamation Outside Temp... HELP

the stupid outside temp in the dash always displays dashes after I got into an accident with the car... the body shop fixed everything up, but the dash displays --- so i went back to the shop and they ordered a new sensor and replaced the sensor under the front bumper but still, --- is all i get. do i have to do something when the sensor is new or something? or is it just plug and play and it should be working?

You may have to adjust it by placing sensor in cup of ice water
the 2 trip buttons on dash are to reset and adjust the temp display and they reset the oil minder

yeah i already did the 2 trip buttons to see if that did anything but no luck.. and the ice water thing i'll try..

i really don't think that that's gonna solve it though, i doubt acura has to freeze new sensors before putting them in.

i hate you for threadjacking btw lol

ps. HELP
