Out of Area dealership
Hi,
I bought my 2003 TL-S at a dealership that sells luxury cars, the nearest Acura dealership is over 150 miles away. I need to take it in to have the heated seats fixed but don't really want to drive all that way if I can avoid it. Has anyone had any factory warranty work done at a Honda dealer?
I called the Honda dealer locally and they said they don't do factory warranty work but I don't know whether to believe them or not. Just thought I would see what others have done.
Thanks

Place a call to Acura Customer Care and explain how far it is to the nearest Acura dealer
1-800-382-2238 x 5 6a-5p pacific time
They may have a place closer that can help you, or at least make sure there is a loaner car while yours is down.

While it is a stretch to hope they may have a secret shop,
the call to ACC never hurts, so at least you are on record with the seat prob
the dealer can give you a loaner if needed,
or if a quick fix- somewhere to hang out

Is 150 miles that far?
I do that just to spend a weekend volunteering at the racetrack!
Same place for track days- and thats 150 miles each way.
Its that far to Yosemite, and I will do that just to have some fun
on the twisty roads and take pictures.
Distance is equal to satisfaction deprieved
Seat Heat Fixes Many Things!!!!!

dont bother honda doesnt have access to the acura factory warranty.. this i know by personal experience, when my transmission kicked it.. i contacted the nearest honda dealer cause i two live about 4 hrs away from the nearest acura dealer..and they said it has to be done by acura .. i called client services and arrange to pick up my car from the honda dealer and shipped my car to the nearest acura dealership and back ... but for your case the heated seats arent really a big deal ao im sure they're gonna tell you that there is nothing they can do about it.. but its worth a shop .. they're just heated seat whoppty frekin doo

Thanks for the feedback, maybe I'll give a call to Acura Services just to see what they can do for me. Otherwise I guess I'll have a trip ahead of me (hopefully they will give me a loaner especially if it will be a few days). Maybe I'll make a weekend out of it

Make sure you arrange in advance to get a loaner
Most people try dropping off their car on friday so to as to
get a nice new car for the weekend and you can be out of luck
When you call the dealer for appointment = speak ONLY to the Service MANANGER
and explain the 150 miles- that person can save a loaner for you
AND knows which tech to have available on your day
They may have to order parts
AGAIN---SERVICE MANAGER ONLY-----Anyone else is empty promises

You are young
Us older folks think seat heat is a mandatory item!
Eases back pain and makes nice warm seats for outdoor cars
