Don't know exactly why you posted this clip in the Type-S forum but definitely an interesting piece of info. Reminded me of a couple of friends that past away because of motorcycle accidents.

One reason I'll never own a bike - I don't know of a single person who has owned one, no matter how carefully they drive, that hasn't wiped out at least once. Even worse are drivers who don't pay attention and whack you.

I'm picking up my 3rd bike this weekend.... Never tried to do a wheelie.... I know I can't do it, so why bother....

but I've got my share of accidents... you're right, I don't know anyone that rides a bike who have not gotten into 1 accident....

Me neither. Actually, I'm always worried about my former crew that I used to ride with... because they just do some crazy things... and outright stupid now I think about it. I've gotten into two accidents myself and ... I must say ... God has given me a second chance in life. I won't get into all the details but I wish nothing bad happens to all my friends.

Sounds like you have a lot of friends with sport bikes... hope they're ok too.

Thanks, well 1 friend that I ride with died from an motorcycle accident, and I am just recovering from my 7th accident which happened last month.

None of my accidents have motorcycle, all in a car, and all but 1 of the accident was my own fault, fell asleep...

So someone up there REALLY loves me, and I am thankful everyday for it.

First off, hope you're feeling much better.

Second--seven accidents?

Methinks someone is trying to tell you something...maybe that you should perhaps think about taking the bus?

I rode for five years (VFR), and laid my bike down twice- both uneventful. Once in a parking lot (stupid newbie clutch stall), and once on a back road (unexpected sand turning a corner) at 20mph. Landed on my feet, running, on that one.

There's something about a fast bike that brings out the stupid in people, myself included. I was directly behind a friend of mine (he was on a CBR1000) when he lost control, and hit a cement pole at 90mph. Obviously, he died. That happened Mother's Day '88, and I can still see it clearly in my mind.

xyzpl,

After seven accidents, I might strongly suggest a good defensive driving course. Even though only one was your fault, you are obviously a rolling target, and could use an improved skill set.
