original foglight modd-help
i need some pointers on how to complete this modd. i know the 2 wires which need to be connected (white/red and red/blk) but how do i connect them? i tried to do this on my own and my red/black wire is cut but the white/red is untouched. pics, description, or items used would be very helpful. thanks

i want to do LED or HID fogs
how to connect them -> like using any typical electrical connection method.
i am having a little trouble understanding your problems/trouble your having with ur fog light mod.
i mean i want to do the same thing - but all i want to know is whats the best or easiest fog mod to do.
what lights are you using?
how many watts are they?
and what temp do they run at?
are you using a different harness?
sorry if im making this more difficult but maybe i can help you. i am very wire savvy.

The wire is cut? You could get some of those wire splicers from Home Depot or autostore and crimp those two wires together. Otherwise, you cut some insulation off the other wire cross the two.

There's no full details for the orginal fogg modd its jus mentioned in the dyi new fog light modd stickie.
I'm trying to have my fogs on with the park lights also. From the fog switch harness I believe I'm suppose to connect the red wire with black stripe to the white wire with the red stripe.
So do I cutt both wires, swap then crimp? Making the red/blk connect to white/red for both wires?

You can cut the one and get a "T" splice or just crimp cap them together. There is nothing fancy about it. Just go to the hardware store and get some crimp connectors or splices and connect.

And yea I need some guidance on electrical connection methods? I believe both wires still need to run current from orgin to harness right?

Those wires are just triggers to activate the relay so. One wire tells the relay that the headlights are on so the fogs can come on. The other wire is to light up the backlight for the switch when the parking lights are turned on. So if you tie those to connections together, it thinks the headlights are on already once you have the parking lights on.
