Arrow Ordered comptech springs and cambers but...

I want to know if anyone has a pic with 18 inch rims and the comptech springs because I dont think the drop is going to be low enough.

When I put on my 18 inch rims without springs on my 03 tl, the gap between my front tire and the wheel well is friggin huge (like 6.5 inches or something like 6 fingers in park, Dont even ask how much while accelerating.).

Is this going to fill in that gap enough???

I ordered c. springs and rear cambers. I am doing all my own work.

After an indepth search I am starting to think I need a bigger drop.

Your comments will be appreciated. :smokin:

Say,

Here's a pic of my car (CT drop, OEM shocks) with 18" Volks (SE37). I get about 2 fingerspaces with this drop ... looks way better than OEM form AND ... still functional (rubbed maybe 4 times).

Derrick,

That looks exactly what I am looking for.

1. How many inches was the gap in the front prior to the new springs and struts???

Mine is 6.5 inches If I subtrack the claimed 1.5 advertised spring drop, I should still have a 5 inch gap (better than 6.5 but not enough right?)

2. Does your shock upgrade help with drop too?

3. And my car is not a type S, Does that have any thing to do with it?

THANKS AGAIN

Hey Rich,

First of all, I don't know about a shock upgrade ... I still use factory Type-S shocks that came with the car. Have about 38000 miles total on 'em ... so far, so good. You will most likley get better handling/balancing if you go aftermarket springs (eg Koni, Tokico, Bilstein, etc)

Gap-wise, I never took a tape measure to it ... but it was close to 4-5 fingerspaces prior to the drop. Difference between Type-S and non-Type-S ... I don't know. I don't think there would be a significant difference in gap but you never know. Anyone shed some light on this? All I know is the gap now that the CT springs have settled is about 1" front / back.

Sweet ride derrick! The cleared lights and tint really set it off. Great choice on the wheels & tires as well.
