Opinions for next mod...

American Honda Finance was nice enough to waive the security deposit on this, my 2nd lease through them. Yesterday, I received a refund check in the amount of $500 which represented the security deposit I placed on my previous lease. NOW, being the fiscally responsible person that I am :p I'm hell-bent on spending this money as quickly as possible.

SO... I've been thinking of adding another mod or two to the car.

My first option is springs and sways. The handling improvement that the sways provide would be very welcome. However, I'm not totally in love with lowering the car. I think it looks fantastic when it's lowered a bit, but I don't want to run into problems with excessive tire wear due to the toe and camber change that accompanies springs. I was looking to Comptech for both of these items. I'd be really happy with the lowering of the front of the car, but it seems to me (from pics) that they don't lower the rear as much as they should to be aesthetically pleasing. It looks as if the rear should be a bit lower to match the front which is perfect (in my opinion.)

Secondly, the factory body kit. I saw both a SSM and a WDP TL-S with the body kit and they look fantastic -- Acura did a great job with this kit and I think it would look fantastic on my ABP (as it does on Mr Hyde's). This is the more expensive option, of course, and provides only aesthetic improvements. And it would look even better if it were lowered (as the SSM one I saw was).

Anyway... which would you suggest and why? Any personal experiences with any of the aforementioned items would be appreciated as well.

(Sorry I'm so damned long-winded... I ALWAYS do that )

Congrats on the windfall. I would go (and have already gone as per my sig) with the springs and sways. This way you get form and function. IMO, a body kit looks kind of awkward on a car that isn't lowered.

Or, since you already have headers, you might want to go with a combo of CAI and sways (if you want to keep it near $500).

The body kit will give you a more agressive look than the springs will. The kit really makes you smile when you look at your car. I even had people coming up to me at HIN and ask what kind of kit I have! I'd have to say kit over springs and sways. Though springs and sways are a must in the future!

You already have headers... how about an intake? Maybe just a drop in filter if you don't want the noise of a SRI or CAI? You could get an SRI or CAI and a wood kit for $500!

For $500 you could get a wood steering wheel... I can't stand driving a TL without one. Drove my friends and I couldn't bear it. Looks great too!

How about indiglo gauges! Only $80! Maybe go for a bunch of little things... polarg lights all around, AC wood trim, indiglo gauges, Inspire door rails, Denso plugs... headrest monitors... custom supercharger...
