Question Opinions needed for spring installation

I got three different places that quoted me three different prices, and here they are:

Location A: No Limit, they say the guy installing them is the best in town. Will do it for $260 CDN and will give a deal if I get tint (all around) from them as well. All together $440.

B: Acura dealer, will take 5 hours to do, $80/hr so $360 and after bargaining.

C: Great deal : SHC auto graphx,
$100 for the spring installation and $200 for tint.
The problem? I booked with them right away, but I am starting to have second thoughts. They would only charge like $100, man that is so cheap. But what about the installation quality, I mean spring isn't that hard to install but for $100 dollars man? So I call the other shops and off-course they told me to becarefull if I decide to go with them. So, I called SHC again and wanting to cancel and they say they are so cheap because they do like 3 spring installations a day. Will only take the guy 1 and half hour to do it. They say they have been in business for 11 years and doing a lowering job is nothing to them.
I don't know what to do now guys. Hard to decide, SHC is decent not some truck yard shop which make it really hard to decide.
So what do you guys think, cause I mean if it is really that simple to install than one half hours for $40/hr labour than $100 sounds reasonable. I know it is all my decision cause it is my wallet, but I am here to ask some of you who done it urself and what you guys think about a one half hours job?
Thank you.
Ya, springs and tint soon.
Thanks again.

you are lucky in canada...

$100 cdn is like $75 US...

so either way you are getting a deal.

Spring installations are a two hour job at the most... so the acura dealer is jerkying you around. 30 minutes if you get some one good. I paid like 110 bucks US for the installation but I bought the springs from that performance shop.

Also an trained mechanic can do a spring replacement so I would not worry too much... The one thing to make sure of is that they know how to take care of rubbing. so if they have lowered cars before they will probably shave some of your bumper off in the rear with a file... Don't worry the bumper is all plastic so they are not cutting any metal off.

You might think about replacing your stock shocks with konis or tokicos. I'm starting to see that my stock shocks are not handing the increased spring rate. Also when you sell your car you don't have to go around and find stock shocks to replace the performance ones.

Good luck...

Thanks -J, that certainly helped strenthen my faith towards this deal. I already called them and told I will let them do it tomorrow.
However, I have never heard anybody else saying about shaving the rear bumper, is it really necessary? Comptech only lowers the car by 1.5-1.75 inch right?

Well thanks again btw.

Your bumper does not need to be modified for springs!

Go with the cheapest guy! Any good shop should be able to do it for 2 hours labor (or less). But you should take out your back seat - they will have to anyway.

Yeah, go with the cheapest guy. I don't see any reason to pay more for such a simple job. I got mine done for $50 because I've been going to that shop forever, they normally charge like $75!
