i have a wdp and want to get a lip kit and i see one in buy section but its black

i seen lots of 5th gen ludes that are wdp with black lip


anyone here thinks thats ok?

I dont think it would look bad. I've seen a White Nissan Maxima with a carbon fiber lip kit running the streets out in N.Y. and it looks sweet. I don't think I have the balls to do it, but if you do try it and if it doesn't look good then paint it WDP.

Well are you planning to change the rims to black? I say if u have 5% tints, with the black lip, and maybe some hyperblack rims with a polished lip.. it would look sick

Quick Q. Are you sure you have WDP and not Taffeta White ?? what year did they start WDP? i didnt think they started that till 01??

I'd say you just keep it white it would look quite funky. Well I have a 00TL and it is WDP so Im going to assume atleast 00 but 99 Im not sure.

When I contacted the dealer about this question, they told me that WDP was exclusive for the 02-03 models for 2nd gens.

Many people with 99-01 models here have stated they have WDP... so I'm not too sure. I've yet to compare my 03 WDP TL-S with a 99-01 WDP TL

Thats what i thought^
I dont remember it being a color in 00 when i was looking (atleast my dealer had every color BUT that color) i know the 2 are similar in color to the untrained eye (in fact its probably the exact same base, just the wdp has the pearl)

Its easy to tell Just open up the drivers door and look at the paint code.

cost too much to repaint. so either get black ones and use or wait for deal on WDP ones which i NEVER find =[


and yes original color was taffeta but was repainted to manufacter's color WDP

but ive seen lots of 99-01 WDP. did people repaint them again like me ? if so, theres a lot of people with same interest.

well last time i checked, acura didnt make a civic... in other words, please dont riceout a nice luxury car. i can give you a list of things that are ok to rape... but a car of its class, no-no.

and one more thing. usually if you see a car with a different color lip, its cause its carbonfiber, not painted black. if it is just painted, its just cause theyre stupid, broke and wanna look like they have a cf lip.

Buy it what ever color you get a deal on, and save $$ to have it painted before you put it on.

I was gonna do this same setup. IMO I think it'll look fly. But since Its becoming more common I'm gonna go ahead and get me a JDM Saber front bumper.

Yeah, I'd say save up and do it right. You can save some money by going to an Earl Schieb or something like that since you aren't painting the whole car, just a front end lip. I would never paint my car with them, but for something simple like that, you should be ok. Also, ABRA Auto Body and Glass are nationwide and they did work for me before for a very reasonable price. I got my Honda's rear bumper repainted for $100, worked a deal without a hookup, so not bad if you ask me.

I believe he has the XPEL or Rockblocker foglight protection film in yellow on there. I think he also may have an HID system in there also, can't remember. There is a vendor on here that sells the foglight protection film in different colors that is precut to our fog lens shape. I have them on mine, but mine are clear. Never had a broken lens since installing them!! I think the vendors name is actually "Rockblocker" and they were running a special not to long ago, fsttyms1 may be able to confirm that.

my 99 is WDP straight from the factory, the colors are quite different side by side

well i saw some guys car here from distinctive tuning. its that gold one with black hood and trunk and i think he has black lips. forgot his name
