I have an 03 tl nav with 45K. I am think about upgrading to a 2007 tl nav. They want to give me 14,500 for mine ( I owe nothing on it). Based on this I can go into a lease for 3 yrs w/o it costing me anything. Then I can either buy it or lease a new one at the end. Would you consider doing this? Thanks for feedback
Are you happy with your 2003 TL?
Is your TL in the group of 2003 TLs that have the 109,000 mile/93 month extended warranty on the transmission?
As long as you didn't have a major mechanical problem with your current TL, you would be much better off financially keeping your current car. If you have the extended warranty on the transmission, you wouldn't have to worry about that.
You have a fully paid off car and you would be trading zero monthly payments for an effective $400/payment for three years ($14.500/36 months = $403/month). The fact that you'd be using the trade-in value for your TL to pay for the lease doesn't make it "free". At the end of three years you'll have nothing except a reduced purchase price on what will then be a three year old car.
If you like your 03 TL and you have the extended tranny warranty, I would keep it.

I say hold out for the 09 revision. You don't want to be kicking yourself in the Ass when they release a 3.7 liter SH AWD TL in 2009.
I've been kicking myself in the ass for buying a 2003 and having the model change on me the year after. I'm not making the same mistake this time around.
EDIT: Btw... the 3.7 liter is just speculation. But if the Accord is going to offer nearly 260-ish HP, then it would be logical for Acura to up the ante on the TL a bit. At the very least a 3.5 would suffice.

Part of this question is lease vs buy; here's one way to think about that.
If you like having a new car every few years, lease is the way to go.
If don't mind driving a car that's a few years old, then buy the car and take advantage of 0 payments after it's paid off, until you get sick of it.
Good Luck!!

Did you get a manual or automatic transmission?
