ONLY try this at home!!!

I know I'm knit-picking, but doesn't it seem wrong that you can hit the trunk release button when the car is in gear and it'll open the trunk?? I know it's way down on the door, near the front, but I think it should have a shutoff if the car is in gear...

Just a little grumbling on a Thursday...

Hardly...cause i mean..you can't really hit it by accident....unless you delibritly (sp?) push it. I mean..I'm sure all the cars out there does this when you pull/push the trunk release lever.

yup i think the trunk button is pretty well hidden already. it's on the side of the door which i think is pretty well placed. unless your toes is "lurking" around all the time (right, not foot. you can't possibly push the bottom without your toe or finger) it should be fine.

cant pop the trunk in the clk when in speeds of 5mph or over....then again EVERYTHING in the clk is speed sensitive....my 2 cents

You can lock it you know, there is a little switch in the glove comparment. I don't know how you can press it by accident while driving...

Did you know that if you pop your trunk while driving, you can automatically close it too?

Just step on the gas.

They actually have a reason for that guys...it's the quick dead-body-ejection-system. See, if you have a dead (or partially alive) body in your trunk, and you start getting chased by a cop, you press that button and run over a speedbump really fast. Not only will you be rid of the evidence, but you can be assured that the body will be dead, and possibly you stopped the cop car too!

Duh!

I'd use it like how NightRider uses em for airbrakes. I'd pop the fuel door too if it had stronger springs! Anything to make me stop 1mm sooner.

ummmm.. I should also point out that you can also open your door while your car is in drive, so if you're not wearing your seatbelt (shame on you), are going around a right turn, and open your driver's door you can actually fly out yourself. That's probably worse than popping your trunk and letting that dead body you're hiding fly onto the highway.
