Angry Only third gear

I only had third gear last night in my new "Performance Rebuilt" tranny. The D-5 was flashing, check engine and VSA was on and I could not shift into any other gear(SS or gate). I've had more problems with this rebuilt then I had with my stock tranny-go figure. The shop when they first installed it they put in too much fluid. I then took a trip from Orlando to St. Augustine and when I got off 95 it ran terrible. I had fluid every where and the tranny miss-shifted, down shifted and slipped. I then returned it to the shop for repair and they found a bad bearing and shaft. I had them remove some fluid the second time because they overfilled again-UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! They were checking it while it was running and it needs to be checked with the engine off. Now this morning it ran fine as if there was nothing wrong and I drove it pretty hard coming to work. What an terrible mystery.

I'm seriously thinking 6 speed conversion.

I'm sorry to hear that. I would not expect that kind of work from a performance shop.

Well, at this point I wish it were the performance shop because I've been very satisfied with the work they have done to my car. On the other hand the transmission shop next door does leave a lot to be desired.

Sorry to hear about your woes...

I would have thought Dean designed the tranny stuff (meaning in conjunction with your performance desires and other mods) and worked with the guys next door to get it done right. I'd rattle his chain if indeed there is a problem with the upgraded tranny--rattle it hard...

Dean and the rest of the V.R. crew have been extremely good about helping me but Ed the owner of the shop next door has been, lets just say, less then helpful.
