One year old, 40,000 miles ...

... 2 new transmissions, 2 warped rotors, 1 water leak, 1 squeaky/rattley sunroof and numerous other squeaks and rattles.

My car turned a year old yesterday (at least from the day I adopted it) and passed 40,000 miles on the odometer. I must say that even with all the problems, I still love my car. I can't imagine what I'd think of it had I not had any problems over the last year.

I'm glad you still love your car! Best of luck with the latest tranny!

I love my car as well so far! Walked out of work last night and could only smile upon seeing my baby waiting for me!

Says a lot when you say you still love your car after all of that. A lot of people would have said to hell with Acura after the first dead tranny.

Yeah, maybe I'm just one stupid mofo. But I love the way it drives, the features and I never thought it would turn heads like it does.

Yo RedLined, I am at 33,000, and even though I had the tranny die, I still am happy with the car. I think the headers are the best thing anyone can get for a TL-S, as they really make the car special.

Glad your tranny is hanging in there. Hope to see you at the PAA meet.

Damn and I thought I drove a lot in my first year (25,000 miles). Just passed the 60,000 mile mark on my 99 TL and I still love it like it was the first day, except now it looks WAY BETTER because of all the mods done to it.

How did I warp my head?! Well, I've always been a little warped.

If you meant my rotors, the front ones warped at about 22,000 miles. It seems to be a common fault of all TLs. The service guy was not at all surprised and told me he had seen it many times before. I think they may be getting warped again. If so, I think I'll sink the money into some better rotors.

For my latest update '00 TL at 107,000 miles - One heated seat pad, two rotors, and one belt tensioner pulley ( started to make a rattling noise at idle) , thats it. Tranny and engine fine. On Mobil 1 have yet to add any oil between changes (5K). Trans fluid done every30K. I'll keep everyone posted. Dealed did the timing belt at 102,000 for $742. Looks like my Mich. Pilots will go 70,000 miles.

Are warped rotors covered by warranty?

Warped rotors aren't specifically covered under the warranty (considered wear & tear items), but I have had them replaced in my three prior Hondas (97 Civic, 99 Accord, 00 S2000) and haven't paid for any of them.

Seems to be such a common Honda thing, that I don't think the dealers will argue with you if you say you want Honda to pay for it.

Well, I've had my '03 TL-S exactly 1 month today and now have 3023 miles when I pulled into the driveway. If I keep up this rate, I'll have more than 36k miles in one year! OUCH!! I have my fingers crossed about having no problems!! My luck with cars in the past has been bad......but I never owned an acura!
