omg what did i do...

ok, so i was working on my subs, and disconnected the box that allows you to open the trunk if your stuck inside. the steel cable is what we disconnected. now the inside and clicker openers cant get us in. we have a tiny bit of access through the back seats. we grabbed the steel wire, and it came off the trunk (like the little holders) and if i pull it it still wont open the trunk. any ideas? i need the stuff in there pretty urgently.

ok so the least damaging thing i thought up was, that if i cant get it open conventionally, cutting a hole in the top of the trunk, reaching through and opening it, and going to a pick and pull and getting a new trunk lid

ok im not sure what im supposed to pull. i can get a pole int the back over the sub box. i have fished and gotten the steel cable and can pull it but nothing happens.
i unscrewed the top part, undid the steel cable off of that (before i closed it), its the part with three wires coming off. if i use my clicker it moves, so that must be the clicker opener mechanism. what do i have to push/pull/hit to open the trunk?

Don't cut a hole in your damn trunk silly man. Remove the seat back, climb in your trunk with a flash light, or lighter (don't catch your car on fire) and reconnect the cable you disconnected. If your sub box is in the way smash it with a fire axe. But don't cut a hole in your trunk.

..i got like over a thousand bucks of stuff in/on that box. so id rather go through a trunk than a box that takes up the entire back of the trunk.

So there is no way to move that box at all? Take a pic of it through your back seat with seat backs removed. I think we would all like to see this.

Dude...take a moment to think this thru. DO NOT cut or smash or do anything yet. Think about it. There has to be another way. I'm gonna guess here but the wire you disconnected probably puts tension on the line for when you DO use the door unlock feature etc. So what about pulling it AND using the clicker or little handle. Take out your backseat before you do anything and see if you can SEE a way around this.

I wonder if a locksmith might be able to get it to pop somehow some way. Either way...rash crazy ass solutions end up costing you more later. Relax and you'll figure out a way.

my backseats are totally out. my box covers side to side, mabye an inch or two on one side. and ill try pulling and clikcing at same time. but the steel wire i have fished out and ran to the back seats. its not attached to the trunk that i can see anymore. and the clicker mover part is not attached to the trunk either, other than the + and - wires its hanging by. so i think theres a lever in the trunk lid i have to hit, that either the wire would have pulled, or the clicker hit. know what i mean?

that last pic, is down the little hole you can see. that metal bar sticking out is what i was trying to use as a lever. i have the steel braided cable all the way up through the stock bose sub hole.

Wow! You're fucked.

Looks like there are some screws on your homemade box. I think its time for some dissassembly. Seriously though, what were you thinking when you started disconnecting shit in your trunk?

I don't believe so. What exactly did you remove or disassemble. Be as specific as possible so we can help identify any possible solution.

can't you just pull the box foward, cause that looks like how you got it in almost, or maybe push it back a little to try and get that much more room to be able to reach back

^^ ha yea thats te cable.

and the box is held in place by big l angles. so i cant move it.

the part i disconnected is a littel black box held on by a few screws. it was the outermost peice on the trunk assembly thing. it has two wires (maybe three) going into it. i unscrewed it but left if hanging, the wires still attached. the steel cable was also attached to it. i unclipped that.

if i use my clicker and hit trunk, the part i unscrewed thats hanging moves as if trying to hit the trunk release lever.

ok so basically you disable any possible way to open your trunk. That little black box is what opens your trunk with the remote and the button in the car and disconnecting the emergency release cable was your last bet but you disconnected that too. Why did you remove that box again?

You're going to have to disassemble that box my friend. There's no other way.
