Post oil weight question

I am about to change the oil in my 00 tl. I was going to put mobile one synthetic in it but I need some advice on weights. I am ebating whether to put 0w-30 as opposed to 5-30. I was told 0-30 would slightly increase power and fuel economy. It seemd very thin to put in the car. Have you all had any experiences with the oil? Thanks in advance!!

Actually - let me post a more useful post than my last one.

It is probably best to stay with 5w-20. Yes - they do make synthetics in theis weight (i.e. Redline and Amsoil). You can also use 5w-30, but your mileage *may* suffer somewhat (a few percent).

Most people on this board would probably recommend that you not use a 0w-30 weight oil.
