my car just hit the 3k mark and i want to get an oil change. what oil do you guys recommend and what weight? i have a 03 TLs.

I now use 10-30 mobil 1 synthetic for cleaner burn and other favorable features per the consumer report I read sometime. They did the research as an independent tester when they did an article on comparing types of oil in the market.
It should be perfect for CA weather.

Use Mobil 1 5w-30 all year round. 10w -30 will take longer to achieve max viscosticy. Plus 5w-30 is fairly close to 5w-20. Use a Mobil 1 filter too.
