Oh what a sad sad day

I've had my TL since July of 99 and tomorrow will be the first time I will have driven it in the snow. I had my beater up until last summer.

Maybe it'll all melt by Monday.

I spent the morning putting my stock wheels back on, putting the C2s away till Spring.

My car looks so...so....

Welcome to the NORMAL club Neil. I already have my stock wheels back on for 2 weeks now. Thank god cause it snowed again last night. Plus I raised my TL back up too. Now I feel like I am driving an SUV. Oh well, 2-3 months is not going to kill me...or maybe it will.:p It's way better than messing up my shiny chrome rims.

The funny thing is that I don't give a rat's a$$ if my stock wheels are dirty from all the slush/snow/dirt.

But it does feel good not caring if I hit a small pothole or worrying about scraping for a few months.

The good Mayor Hague (from an interview once taken by a newspaper( the Jersey Journal) "God put the snow here and He'll take it away.' It appeared that the "snow budget had disappeared, some time ago.

Binh I've had my stocks on since Oct. Seems like every time I leave my rims on it snows early...this time that I switched them back early we didn't get snow till late. I'll never win!!!
Well, I was actually forced into switching them back b/c I shattered a rim...but it was only a week early than planned so I guess that doesn't matter.

I hear you. Last year I switched back to the stocks around late November because it snowed early last year. So this year I decided to wait until the first significant snowfall to change them. I thought about just using my parent's car and leaving my chrome rims on and not using my car. But then a few months of not driving my TL will make me go crazy, so I switched it back to stocks.

BTW, did you shattered the stock or aftermarket rim? I hope it was your stock.

Yup...Larchmont. Chances are you won't see my car cause it's a garage queen. I work from home and the car rarely sits outside for more than an hour or two.

I had a 91 Integra GS that I put 175,000 miles on before I started having problems.

In May it broke down, I discovered the distrbutor, not the cap and rotor, the actual distributor was shot. That would have been $300. The exhaust system was also shot. Another couple hundred.

I donated it to charity and got a huge tax write-off for last year.

Nah...that would have been too convenient. It was one of the Momos...happened on my way home from work just after the GWB on my way to the Deegan. Horrible night...had a date that night so my brother and I did a little pit crew work and switched all 4 rims back to stock in about a 1/2 hour (the only good thing was the tire never went flat so I was able to drive it home with the f**ked up rim. Needless to say the girl didn't work out either...ended up being a psycho!!!

So true.

Sly, sorry to hear about the rim and the girl. Should've made her change the tires.

What do u drive in the winter?

I think next year I'll get an old Accord beater (that my 16" TL rims will fit on LoL, that way I won't have to buy new snow tires again....)

Either that or a 90-96 Escort/Tracer.... those were da bomb in the snow

I only cover it when it snows so that when I NEED to drive my car I can brush the excess snow off the cover without touching the paint and take off the cover... otherwise I just use my mother's Grand Cherokee... Grand Cherokee = RWD or 4WD in snow = LOTSA FUN!!

You big baby, Neil. Snow is no big deal, just get her clean after the snow and you will have no problems.

Turns out, the snow was pretty much gone by Monday. But my car was sooo freakin dirty from all the sand and salt. Got home and immediately gave her a bath. She thanked me.
