wow....that thing looks awesome! I'm thinking if nissan/infinity had an interior like that, they would wipe the competition off the planet....too bad for them. I hope the sport seats are like the CLS seats. I wish there was a pic of them. Dare I as how much it will cost? GOod thing I've decided to keep my car and mod it. I'd be temted to jump on one of those.

BTW.. here are some pics. Thanks to the guys at clubtsx.com and specifically spleck for hosting these. Personally I think it's sweet. My wife needs a new car next year and this could be it!! She liked the Accord coupe at first... but then hated it when she saw it in person (looks like a Civic from the front)... this could be the ticket. OK... enough rambling... pics:

If the TSX looks like this what could we expect to see from the TL. The TL is going to be SICK!!!!! I just want to see some pics.

Hmmm.. the CL mirrors fit... so the TSX mirrors may too. The only thing is you may lose the heat function as is the case with many mirror swaps into the CL/TL. However, if they have heated mirrors too... you should be golden

OK.. I merged the mirror topic into here. I also set this to sticky and changed the title a little bit. Let's keep all TSX talk in here for now so there's not 20 topics floating around about it.
Thanks all!!
Thanks all!!

Now thats a looker.....much better looking then the RSX or the new Accord IMO. And that interior is sweet.
Voice recogniton navigation system....I wonder how many times I have to repeat myself for it to get the right address?

In addition to A-TL, and A-CL we now have A-TSX:
www.acura-tsx.com
Everyone please join and help make that site as much of a success as weve made our CL and TL sites.

Personally, if you want to make the site work best, get some sponsors so people don't have to pay for special membership privleges. It will help the acura the entire aftermarket community more...for tuners, vendors and customers/enthusiasts.

I'll admit that it is a great looking car BUT I don't think it looks THAT much better than the TL-S. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I'll stick with my 2003 TL-S with the full ground effects kit and the rear spoiler kit installed.
I love my TL-S so far and don't see this newer model as THAT much of an upgrade. Just my opinion.
Just my $0.02!

This is, by the way, the Accord in UK
In case you any of you are interested, the Acura TSX we are talking about is the Accord in UK... take a look at the pics and specs (conversions are approximately the same as what is being advertised for the TSX)....

What are you talking about no one said it was better then the TL looks wise or any other way, people just want to know what you think of the car not compare it to the TL type S, obviously this Acura Civic isnt nicer than the TLS, but it is a sharp car with a sweet interior

You guys do realize that this car has nothing to do with the TL right? It's a model that is between the RSX and the CL. Kind of a mid-level luxury sedan. It wasn't built to outstyle or out feature the TL. If you were actually considering getting rid of your TL for the TSX then you had the TOTALLY wrong idea of what the TSX was going to be.
Personally I like it a lot. My wife was considering the new Accord coupe, but didn't like it when she saw it in person... so this to me is the perfect alternative....

... acl.com has always been free.. and since atsx.com is being run by the same people... it will be free too. This site and acl.com do work together once in a while... but they are run by two totally different people.

Acura-CL.com and Acura-TSX.com are COMPLETELY FREE!

tsx = big dissppointment, no v6, doesn't look particularly great, I dunno, and it's fwd isn't it... man, what a waste, honda/acura can make such better cars.... and how bout offering different engines in one Acura model, after all the germans seem to be doing a damn good job with that method...

well, got this email today from my local dealer...not a lot of new info, but someone may be interested...
"Michael,
Montclair Acura is proud to announce the release of the all-new Acura TSX.
The all-new Acura TSX sedan establishes a lofty benchmark for exacting refinement, styling and European-inspired high performance. Its ample power for acceleration is smoothly delivered by a drive-by-wire throttle system born of Formula one racing. The 4-wheel double-wishbone suspension sits on 17-inch wheels and yields exceptional control. Inside, it offers an elegant interior trimmed in supple leather and is lavishly equipped.
The TSX uses race-bred technology to make sure you always have plenty of power on tap. Its 200 Horsepower 2.4 liter engine uses i-VTEC with VTC to help create loads of torque at all engine speeds. Transmission choices include a totally new 6-speed manual with a quick, short-throw shifter, or a sophisticated 5-speed Sequential SportShift automatic. The TSX also comes with Vehicle Stability Assist to help keep you on your intended course.
Thanks to the standard dual-zone Automatic Climate Control System that comes with the TSX, both the driver and front passenger can dial in their favorite temperature settings. Also included are an 8 speaker, 6-disc in-dash CD changer with 360 watts of power to create a stunning audio presence and clarity. Opt for the available Acura Navigational System with Voice Recognition, and you can input your destination by simply speaking to the system.
Due to the expected demand for this exciting addition to the Acura family, Montclair Acura is now accepting deposits for a very limited production, with delivery starting in April of 2003.
Please contact either Don Nardone or myself at 973-239-3700 to discuss your color preference. Although pricing has not yet been determined, we trust that in Acura tradition this car will remain affordably priced.
Sincerely,
Ed Simo"

TSX Price Point
From my readings, the TSX is supposed to be positioned so that it is higher in price that the top RSX and Accord but cheaper than the TL. Its easy to figure that one out. It won't be that much cheaper than the base TL. In fact maybe around the same price as the 99 TL was in its day. My question is what does that do for the next generation of TL. Previous predictions on this forum pegged the 2004 TL release as Spring 2003. Looks as though this TSX release is the big deal for spring. Whats happening with TL? Anybody know?

So many people completely miss the point of this car.
The TSX is the replacement for the 4-door Integra (a sub $25K entry level near-luxury sedan). A few years back we had the 2-door and 4-door teg's. Then the 2-door went away. Acura brought out the RSX as a direct replacement for the 2-door Integra. (Actually, until marketing got a hold of it, IT WAS the Integra) The TSX is bringing back the 4-door sedan in that entry level segment for Acura. It's a little pricier than the Integra, but has more content.
Acura needed to get the 4-door Integra sales back, hence the TSX. It is meant to be the entry level sedan for the Acura brand. Then, maybe the TSX owner will jump to the TL.

I just heard that this car has a drag coeffiecient of only .26--does anyone know what the cd is on the TL?
.26 is really fantastic; it'll prob be best in class if I'm not mistaken.
www.honda.de has tons of info on it--(although it's only good for those who speak German) I'm sure we all know by now that the TSX is just a rebadged Accord from Europe. Anyone check out the UK Honda site?

TSX - 3020lbs for 6MT
Well - it looks like the lighter younger brother of the TL is "officially" lighter than expected.
http://www.auto-report.net/index.htm...iumdtable.html
Looks like 3020 lbs for the 6MT TSX ... which should put even the 5AT at under 3100 lbs !
