alright so i know i might sound like a dumbass but idc im new to acuras and acurazine. So why do people put "inspire" or "saber" on their cl and tls?

Because thats what they are called in Japan.

I wanna know why people put the "H" Honda logo on instead of leaving the "A". Yeah they are the same company but I feel like you are just degrading your car. I rather have an Acura rather than a Honda.

 

the same reason for why people in japan make their sabers say TL ... everyone wants what they dont have

well no see that's the difference.

swapping the A and H is ok because it's essentially the same car just a different look.

putting something thats not a part of the car like say...V8 or turbo (unless you have a turbo obvi, but then you'd wanna stay sleeper no?) or a ferrari badge is being rice beyond all compare.

I personally have all the saber badging but decided against putting it all on. if someone wants it, i might be able to cut them a deal

 

this question has been asked a lot. btw, they don't sell CL's or an equivalent under the Honda badging in japan.

Simply because it's a honda doesn't mean it has the image of an easily affordable car. it's the model that matters. the toyota celsior and crown in japan are very popular "luxury" vehicles; when people see them, they see them first as celsiors and crowns, and second their brand, toyota.

 

exactly. unlike the US where the domestics created upscale brands, in japan brands created everything from the kei car all the way up to the luxo-barges.

having a honda is a ok. its not a city or a fit. it's a saber or inspire. that means luxury.
