OEM Style Lip Kit Opinions?

Hey guys, I was thinking of getting a lip kit for my 02 TL-P, and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this kit:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-03-ACURA-3-2-TL-OE-STYLE-PERFORMANCE-PART-STYLE-TYPE-S-LIP-FULL-BODY-KIT/171166651844?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D2797823635737915176%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D251292786939%26
I like it a lot, just wanted to see if anyone has it on their car and knows if it installs easy, etc. Thanks.

Thats a replica of the OEM Lip Kit.
Its made of fiber glass so its a royal no go for most since FG tends to break instead of bend...

I strongly recommend of getting at least the front lip original OEM AB Plastic.. You can get away with sides and rear FG since they are not as close to the ground than the front.

Do you know where I could find the genuine OEM kit? I've been trying to track one down for a little bit but I don't know where to look, besides google.

Its like the holy grail and when they come up they just gone in minutes.. Good luck finding the complete OEM Set and be ready to lay down +600 bucks for it.

If you are not crazy lowered or plan to do a mild drop you can get away with the Fiber Glass copy.. Just be careful with the front lip as any hit will destroy it.

Yeah, sometimes they come up on the Black Market.....but are soon gone.
For the money, the replica kit isn't a bad deal if ya can't wait for the OEM kit.

Check out "Peewizzle" .....a member who has the aftermarket replica kit installed along with some good tips on how it fits.
I'm unsure if it's the same brand of kit that you're looking at, but check out his posted threads and pics.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm on stock suspension right now, I plan to drop it eventually, but barely any, if I end up with the rep kit I shouldn't have to worry too much. I'll keep an eye out on the black market for a real kit, I'm not in any real hurry to buy the kit, I still have plenty of other mods that need to be done as well. Thanks again.

Just found this too...

Seems closest to OEM http://www.bodykits.com/Sarona/Body-...017_KT/878717/

"Made with enhanced micro-weaved Grade A hand-laid fiberglass. The micro-weave structure provides maximum stability and flexibility to the fiberglass allowing for a custom fitment."

"Made to order, ships unpainted and may require some modifications and/or drilling."

Wow lol I never said I'D pay for it, its just what I found. Punch the retailer in the mouth instead please.

I was considering this:

It's cheap, its actually protects your car and doesn't look terrible. I'd be so afraid to ruin my OEM lip kit even if I had one. Maybe you can paint these with adhering primer layed down first?

If I ever decided to buy the 300.00 FG one from Ebay i'd reinforce it with metal mesh covered in epoxy on the inside.

I looked at this before I bought my lip kit. My concern wsn`t with the looks but with how long the adhesion would stick to the bumper.

Yeah true. Especially when it gets cold and the rubber shrinks. That's why I hesitated to buy it but living in the city it would help protect my car the little bit that it can. I would rather drop the suspension an inch and a half with no lip kit.

Hey DevinSidell, check out another member's (Peewizzle) threads on the aftermarket kits.
He has one of these kits installed along with pics of it being lowered. Looks great, IMO !!!
