Question Oem oil filters

I was woundering ...i read alot about oil and what is the recomended brand...synthetic etc..but i also read that Oem filters are not the way to go ...i was under the impression that the oem filters fit better and are less likely to leak...is this true or a myth and if so what is the best choice for filter??

OEM filter is nothing special, probably OK if you change your filter every 3K miles.
You have better alternatives:
Honda OEM ~$5-7
Puralator $5
Mobil 1 $12
Amsoil filter ~$15?

The only word of caution about Puralator, while its a great filter as far as filtering.... some people claim its too restrictive on the oil flow.... That's why Mobil 1 is a better choice, but the price tag ($12) is rather high. If you dont mind paying $12, Mobil 1 filter is probably the best choice.

(Amsoil could be better, but its even more expensive and is not sold in the regular auto stores)

I am still using Honda OEM Filter, so far so good as long as you change your oil every 3000 miles.

almost any will withstand 3k mile and/or about 4-6 months after that i think the paper and cardboard could break-up
