Does anyone know if the Type S front spoiler for the body kit is different than the regular TL. I bought an OEM kit on ebay and everything went on smoothly except the front spoiler and it doesn seem right.

The front bodykit is the same for the 02 TL and TL-S. Maybe you bought the front bodykit for a 99-01 TL, which is different?

 

They said it would fit all model tl from '99 up. I guess that is why it won't fit if the 2002 is different.

 

There was a redesign for the front end for the 02+ TL/TL-S.

BTW, can you get a refund?

 

Where did you buy it. They should be ashamed, selling automotive parts and they don't know sh*t.

I don't see getting my money back since the guy I bought it from is in Canada. That is the risk I take buying stuff on Ebay. I have only got stuff this was misrepresented once before, looks like I will have to try to sell this front spoiler and buy a new one to replace it. The other pieces look great though. I will probably still come out cheaper at $430.00 for the set.

 

I bought the OEM bodykit from eBay for around the same price, i think it was the same guy in Canada. I don't think he really knows the details like that. Sorry to hear bout the mixup bro.
