Hi, my right headlight went out recently. The problem is the ballast as I installed a new bulb and it didn't work. Does anyone know what the model of the OEM ballast is on a 2002 Acura TL type S? And does anyone know of any other causes, other than a bulb or ballast, which can lead to the headlight going out? And also, anyone know a good online retailer of ballasts?

You can either check ebay or check www.acuraautomotiveparts.org. They sell used OEM ballast.

Could be igniter but mine was a ballast that went out. Recommend doing work by yourself, as it will save you like 500$ or something like that. There are some very good DIY for the ballast replacement and bumper removal instructions- use search...

 

What the heck is the Ballast?

 

It is screwed on the bottom of the headlight and it is needed for the HIDs to light up.

 

Does anyone knows where to buy the ignitor (inverter) and ballast? looking for a good deal
