Post OE Springs

The springs listed under H&R OE springs. Are those decent springs to put on or should you go with the Comptech springs

H&Rs are actually designed for the Accord, and will drop the TL more than indicated as the TL is heavier. They're the best choice for someone who wants a subtle drop but not a stiffer ride, as they're designed for comfort.

Comptech springs will drop even more, and will give a more sporty ride than the OEs.

For the total slam, though, go with Eibachs if you want your car to ride really low.

But will the H&R springs last since the TL is heavier.

The springs will last, but your shocks won't.

They should, as they're the only shotpeened springs on the market.

I have H&R OE springs. It's been only a week since I got them installed so I'm not sure if the springs will wear out in the long run. I don't think it will... but we'll see.

Gomez is right in that the springs will drop more than it states on our TL. Unscientific measurements that I took says that it lowers approximately 1" overall.

I have 225/40/18's that are about 0.6" smaller in diameter than stock. So, I think my ride is about 1.6" lower than the stock height. I also have stock full body kits. Still, no problem with ground clearance.

Hope this helps.

i would say your shocks won't last for more than a year, depends on the road conditions of course.

I have H&R OE Springs and while it did drop about an inch all around as opposed to what they list, it feels stock...that is until you take a turn =) Then, you feel the difference immediately. Mine have been on since December 1999, and it has been great. No camber problems and no shock probs yet. I will eventually replace shocks, but I figured I'd wait until they burned out. Unfortunately, they have not given me an excuse to replace them yet. A pic of my car with the springs is at: http://www.zing.com/picture/p8d253ce...8.jpg.orig.jpg

I had also posted pics showing the car at another site, but lost my link. Should be available if you search for my username under the topic of H&R. Hope this helps!
