Odd Parking Lights

I'm new to the forum, just bought a used 03 TL a few days ago from a local Honda dealership. Before that I drove a Malibu and don't know anything really about cars or the inner workings of cars. I have friends that tune their cars and do other modifications, so I'm kind of just now getting into all of that at 23 years old after not driving for four years while in the military.

Anyway, When I bought the car they gave me the Acura keyless entry fobs with a regular key, a valet key, and another keyless entry fob that had a remote starter button on it as well. I was using that fob but it's a bigger and heavier one so I took it off the keychain and only use the Acura keyless entry fob that's programmed for memory seats #2.

Anyways, I never had a problem using the larger fob and starting the car, but since I've been using the Acura fob as soon as I start the car the parking lights and instrument lights flash and there's a clicking sound. This happens for like 20 seconds, then stops, the starts again and stops about 3 times. I drive the car after that happens and there's no problem once the flashing and clicking stops, but I noticed a red light under the steering column continues to flash as I drive. I checked the owner's manual and tried to search but couldn't find any answers. Hopefully someone can help, thanks.

Well our cars didn't come with factory remote starters. So whatever is happening is probably caused by the aftermarket starter. Do you know what brand it is?

The key fobs don't have any kind of brand on em, where could I look in the car to find this information?

I have no idea where aftermarket alarms are installed.

Maybe some other members can chime in.

Or a car stereo shop should be able to tell you.

thanks anyway, I guess it's not too big of a problem since it stops after about a minute, so I'll just try and see if anybody I know can figure out the problem. If nothing else, I think I can just use the fob with the remote starter and nothing will flash.
