ive heard that they boost mileage for a short time and then it just screw your mileage when your not using it. i dont think using gas that is a higher octane that what our cars are tuned for actually adds any performance gains. but im sure someone will disagree. just try it out and see if you feel a diff.

Waste of money. Octane booster doesn't raise octane by much. It raises it by .1

You wont see a difference. The ecu is tuned for optimum efficiency and power at 91 octane. Higher octane with a tune and boost is about the only situation where you will see it.

93 is part of the computers logic knowledge
Use of lower than 91 is not allowed

Octane boosters dont help much for normally aspirated cars- non turbo- without tweaking
Lucas fuel cleaner can be used 1 3/4 oz product to 1 gal of gas to raise it 3 octane points
as a referance of what a bottle of stuff will actually do.
It does help by making the fire hotter, that cleans carbon to an extent

Use of Seafoam to keep the injection and combustion systems clean of carbon and EPA mandated fuel additive combustion byproduct residue- is the way to go.

truth is octane booster is a waste of money but if you're going to waste it buy the NOS octane booster

No. In a nutshell, Octane doenst give more power. Octane ratings are its ability to resist premature detonation (pinging) caused by compression/heat in the motor. The higher the number the more its designed for higher compression motors, FI motors etc..
(there are many other factors involved as well, and id suggest you google it for more info)

mostly on ww2 radial engine airplanes that require 115/145 octane "purple" avgas
They get pretty hot combustion temps and had actual water spray to mix in
and some Unlimited Class Reno air race planes currently employ some sort of system

You wernt planning on putting a B-17 engine in your TL were you?

On modern tuner-drag cars- they are spraying water in front of the intercooler
