For a TL-S - yes. It makes all the power it can from the recommended octane. In some cases, octane boosters consist of alcohols, which while they raise octane, actually lower power because alcohols have less thermal energy potentials than gasoline.

You really dont need higher octane until you do some serious engine work or go forced induction. If you do, just go buy some Toulene(I think thats how you spell it). Its the main ingredient in higher octane gas and you can mix it yourself.
