Obtaining Service Records

As the second owner of a 2000 TL, I am trying to find a way to obtain the service records/history of the vehicle. The original owner bought it at a different dealership, then traded it in at my local dealer where I bought it. It came with NOTHING in terms of paperwork, other than the owner's manual. The person who traded it in signed a "Do Not Contact" form.

As for information, I checked CarFax first - everything showed up as clean. Then looked on the Acura Owner's Link, and all that showed up were the recalls and fixes (i.e. the oil jet kit install). When I called/wrote Acura, they were unable to provide any detailed information, but they did have the original dealership call me. Well, this dealership said they could not release _service records_ without the original owner's consent, and they didn't know how to contact her.

Bottom line - is there any other way to obtain the service records, not looking for any personal, payment, etc type of info, just plain old service records, that will help me assess what has been done to the car, what is coming due, etc.

Thanks for any suggestions and help.

With most dealerships their service records for each car isnt shared with other dealers. your best bet is to just call local dealers and give them you vin to see if they can print out the service history for you. the only info corporate honda/acura would have is warranty repairs for the vehicle, thats the only info shared with all dealers.

all thats been done to it besides the recall oil jet install have been oil changes,,thats all the book calls for until 105k miles
Trans fluid change at 60 is in there iirc

call 1-800-382-2238x5 to register as the new owner in acura system
they can tell you if any open/needs to be done recalls- any other extended warranties like seatbelts or SRS and transmission

Change the brake fluid, cabin air filter right away
plugs if over 60k miles never hurt
