I've been wondering this too. I have yet to even look for the port. You may want to call your dealer and just ask the service dept. if our car is OBD2 or whatever....

The OBD2 port is located behind the lower center console behind a removable panel. where the heated seat switches are, that little space to put your cell phone or garage door opener in, that panel aginst the back pops right out...

It won't tell you a WHOLE lot when it scans, just the error codes. To get more in-depth information you'll have to get a scanner tat reads "enhanced" codes. Those can run $500 to a few thousand. And then you have to make sure that it will read your particular OBD2 car

I wouldn't hook that thing up to my $30,000 car. At my last job we were banned from using tools from Harborfreight, quality and saftey issues. Spend alittle extra money and get one from Sears, I think they sell one.

I know this is an old post, but I'm new to the forum and figured I'd respond just incase anyone is still looking for an answer.
Yes, the ODB2 does work with the TL. I have a 2002 and it plugs into the port in the center of te car in front of the transmission, behind the little panel right near the seat warmers. I think it cost in the neighborhood of $150, but it was a while ago when it was purchased so I'm not sure. I've used it on a few cars and it works great. The software isn't the best, but it will spit out good information about the car so I'm satisfied.
