OBD-II Scanner

So I've got a regional manager looking into the service of loaning out an OBD-II scanner to see if I'm getting any knocking or other effects after my valve adjustment.

The service is listed here on their site- http://www.partsamerica.com//Help/InStoreServices.aspx

Yet the 3 Kragen's within 5-10miles of me do not have the loaner and say they've never had it.

I've been in contact with the regional manager whom is going to call me back, but even he wasn't aware of this program.

Any of you use this service successfully? I'm beginning to think it's all smoke.

Update, this service is not available in the GREAT state of California due to auto repair guidelines.

Maybe on my trip to another state I'll borrow the scanner.
