Bank one refers to the cylinder bank with the number one cylinder in it. I'm used to seeing more information. Typically a scanner will read... bank 1, sensor1...bank 1, sensor 2......B1, S1....B1, S2 etc. I'm pretty sure our scanner identifies both sensors on our cars as bank 1, but distinguishes by sensor number. i.e. sensor 1 is before the cat, sensor 2 is after. I think you're missing the sensor number.

You are right. The scanner reported sensor1 bank1. I was working on a friend's car and we got codes for misfire, o2 sensor, and cat converter, and we narrowed it down to spark plug problem. The code was resetted, so he will need to drive it around and we will read it again. Thanks for the info.
